Muscle building dog food is not a magic ingredient. For a dog to add lean mass, three things have to be true at the same time: enough protein from meat, enough calories to run a surplus, and work that gives the muscle a reason to grow. Miss one and the dog either stays the same or just gets heavier.
Protein from meat. Bully Max 30/20 High Protein is 30% protein with meat-based ingredients, no by-products, and no corn, wheat or soy. The amino acids that matter for muscle come from the animal protein, not the grain.
Calories you can actually feed. At 535 calories per cup, a 50 lb dog gets a full day of fuel in about 2 to 2½ cups, which leaves room to add a little more when the dog is training hard. A typical 350 to 400 calorie kibble needs a third more volume for the same energy, and many dogs will not clear the bowl. For a hard keeper, PRO Series 31/25 pushes that to 600 calories per cup.
Work. Flirt pole, spring pole, weighted walks and weight-pull drag work are what the bully-breed owners in these photos use. Twenty to thirty minutes a day of real effort, with rest days, is enough for most adult dogs. Puppies should play and grow, not pull weight.
Owners who want to add a supplement on top of the food use the 30/20 + Power Tabs bundle, which adds 9 essential amino acids and ZMA without adding bulk. Feed the food first; the tabs support the work, they do not replace it.
Guides by breed and goal, all on the same 30/20, 25/11, 24/14 and PRO 31/25 formulas.
